Here is our Jeep. It started life not long ago, we have owned it for about a year now and purchased it new. We had no intent to create an "Overland" vehicle but as time went on and our exposure to the possibilities grew, the evolution happened rather fast paced.
We started with a tent. After a weekend in Leavenworth the day we bought the Jeep we thought, it would be great to just tent camp again. Being that we are now in our 30's the ground wasn't going to cut it. I had a basic understanding of RTT's and their existence, but little did I know the path we were starting down... So we ordered an ARB Simpson and started our search for a rack to mount our new pride and joy to. After may hours of YouTube and forms, pros and cons, we decided to give the Front Runner Slimline 2 a shot. It was a hard choice between that and the Gobi but the timeline of the Gobi and style of the FR made the choice easy.
Once we had the tent and rack on we learned about this thing called the overland rally. It seemed like it would be a great place to learn a little more about this way of camping and get some ideas for our new "set up". Wow... This CHAGED EVERYTHING.. We went home and bought more parts... we bought a FSR A49H (automatic tent) and it just went from there. The rally is also where we meet some new friends and learned about NWOL..
Enough of that.... Here is our Jeep. If you have any questions, just ask. - ZACK
