Is anyone else thinking of places to go this thanksgiving weekend? Maybe just a day trip? Not sure if we'd run into snow in the usual haunts (Ranger creek, Snoqualmie pass, anywhere else reasonably close to the Seattle area) but if we do it's good to go with someone who can pull us out...

I'm considering continuing up the WABDR this summer, starting from Ellensburg on July 4th and taking 4 days or so to get to Canada. Anyone interested in joining up? If you can't make it on the 4th, we could meet in Cashmere on the 5th, or in Chelan on the 6th.

I've been playing with the APRS functionality on my Kenwood TM-D710GA, one of the settings is for message groups. If I understand it right, this means I can send an APRS message to the group and all group members receive it. Note that this is different from bulletin groups. Is anyone else interested in using NWOL as our APRS group message call?

Where are the good places to go this early? I saw Guy's report from Douglas Creek/Slack Canyon, and it looked pretty accessible. What about the areas just north of SR-2, say between Chumstick & Swakane? Is it passable up there?
