I think I’m going to shave off the Teanaway and Liberty section so I can add a fishing day and eliminate some extra backtracking. So I’ll be exploring the area between Cle alum Lake and Kachess Lake on both the 9th and 10th. Makes the trip a lot less frantic Since I would be backtracking to get to Stampede Pass on the 11th.

I’m hoping to enter from 47.27792, -121.07924 no clue if that will pan out. I see a few places that could become either great camp sites or fun water crossings.

I would love to say “yes” but I simply don’t know. We could get to liberty by noon, we might not make it until 6. This is an exploration trip and I don’t have any idea what I’m going to find. Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you.

I recommend Graves creek. Entrance is lake Quinault. Road has lots of potholes, but some sweet waterfalls. Campground is on the river. Is also at the trailhead to enchanted valley. Elk meander through the area. High likelihood of a sighting.

Go ahead and plan on joining us, just beware that we’re up to 8 rigs now and camping could get pretty tight.

Hey Everyone... With minimal response here, I crossposted on OverlandBound. I am now full up for this trip. I currently have 7 rigs going. We can probably make space for 1 or maybe 2 max. I know there are some proposed adjustments to the TNT that could affect your plans so I wanted to get out in front of that.

I suggest a subscription to GaiaGPS. Then you can have access to the Forest Service Roads and Trails Map, a Snow Level Map, and a Public Lands Map. TrailsOffroad is another subscription service. They have some good info in there, but I allowed my subscription to expire. onX Offroad is another one. I have a current subscription, but I find I don't use the app much at all. Planning to allow it to expire. AllTrails is the last on my list. I have the subscription, but I use it mainly for hiking. They do post off-road trails, but their information is geared for hikers. Probably won't help you much, but it's worth a visit to the site. Feel free to join us this weekend if you're free. 1st Rally is Cle Elum Safeway at 4:00 on Friday - Exploring the Colockum area near Vantage.

Hey Everyone I went on a scouting run last weekend. The roads are impassable and loaded with that wet-concrete-style snow and tons of downed trees. With the lack of warm weather this trip is doomed…. So, I‘m working on plan B. Details will come out by the 20th I’ve never been to the Colockum area, so I’m going to go explore out there. Who’s still in? PS, I’m planning something informal for next weekend as well. You’re welcome to join me for that as well.

I had a great question and thought I would add my response here for everybody... We will be on Forest Service Roads. Lots of washboard and potholes, but no major off-road obstacles. You'll need basic camping gear - tent, sleeping bag, warm layers of clothes, plans for 3 days of food. If you're using a ground tent, bring a suitable comfort pad. I'm anticipating gravel camp sites. Cabellas has a cool cot/tent that might be a good starter setup. I have several short hikes and explorations planned. No obligation of course, but if you would like to participate, solid shoes for hiking. I'm planning to bring some firewood. If you have an armload, great. If not, no worries. Don't go buy those expensive bundles from the gas station - not worth it. Shower is up to you. Some will go without, some like to freshen up. I'm still working on my shower gear so I don't have any good advice yet. Toilet. Walmart sells a little seat that snaps onto a 5 gallon bucket. Amazon sells little privacy tents and sanitary bags. There is also the option to wander off by yourself :) I would prefer that people don't get gonzo drunk or silly stoned around the campfire, but some responsible use should be fine. Definitely no use while driving please. I'm still working on Comms. I have a ham radio, but I don't have my license yet. I'm planning to purchase a GMRS soon - bring that if you have one.

The official rally time is Friday 6/3 @ noon in the Centralia Outlets on the East side (Nike parking lot) We will have a 2nd rally between 1:00-1:30 at the Randle Gas Station Anybody that can't get out by then is welcome to meet us at camp Friday night Sunday will be by consensus regarding departure times.

The best way to learn is to do it. I think you’ll find people very willing to teach and be patient. I suspect that the people you would be holding back run in different circles and don’t post their outings here. Join an outing!
