Mr. T is the most current in number of builds for me (1993 Toyota T100). My previous build was a 1977, short box Chevrolet Van with a built 400 small block. The interior was varnished birch, simple and stoic. I abandoned it as an overlander when I couldn't get more than 5mpg... ouch! Other vehicles (builds) of note include: 1951 Studebaker/Packard 6X6 1967 VW Westphalia (originally from Panama) 1968 Land Cruiser (289ci Chevy engine) 1968 Renault 4 (small but effective) 1969 Land Rover (top speed 45mph) 1971 VW Westphalia (extremely reliable) 1974 Land Cruiser (best rig ever) 1984 VW Westphalia 1986 VW Adventure Wagon 1987 VW Westphalia Syncro (extremely unreliable)

In INTRODUCE YOURSELF
I've been watching this site for awhile and finally decided to join. My wife and I live between Sequim and Port Angeles on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula. We've explored every ungated (and occasionally gated) road from Port Townsend to Ocean Shores with great enthusiasm and joy. Mr. T, my 1993 Toyota T100, although lacking in power, has served us very well for the most part. It has a four inch lift with 33s pushed by a diminutive 3 liter V6. I gutted and rebuilt the 1988 4wheel camper, utilizing wasted space, getting rid of all the soggy "crap" wood and making it more indicative of overlanding. Yes, I'm usually the oldest guy with the oldest rig!
