- OVERLAND RALLIES & EXPOSThis past weekend, some of our group, on a whim, decided to make an exit and head out to Sandpoint, Idaho for the POR (Panhandle Overland Rally). A very chill and intimate group of adventurers on a very large field. There were a handful of vendors there, including Selkirk Offroad (Idaho), Benchmade Knives (Oregon), Northridge 4x4 (Washington) and RedArc (Australia) just to name a few. The highlight of the event was the raffle and the live music. And not to mention, the incredibly fun off-road course. Which our team, with a little influence from yours truly, agreed to do the loop at night, damn near midnight. I will say, the Ineos Grenadier did an amazing job handling the steep, rutted and rooted inclines that the course had to offer. We will definitely be going back next year. Here are some pictures from this years event and shenanigans. Dan IMG_7354.MOV IMG_7356.MOVLike

- TRIP REPORTSThis past weekend, a few explorers joined me as we explored parts of the Quilomene and Colockum Wildlife Areas. Colockum Wildlife Area is a diverse and scenic natural reserve located in central Washington State, near the Columbia River and the town of Ellensburg. Spanning over 50,000 acres, this wildlife area is managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and is known for its rich biodiversity, varying landscapes, and outdoor recreational opportunities. The area features a mix of habitats, including grasslands, shrub-steppe, and forested regions, making it an ideal environment for various wildlife species. Visitors can expect to see a range of animals, including mule deer, elk, and numerous bird species, especially during migration seasons. The wildlife area is particularly popular for hunting, birdwatching, and wildlife photography. Colockum Wildlife Area is also a great destination for hiking, with several trails that offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The landscape is characterized by rolling hills, rugged terrain, and picturesque vistas, making it a favorite spot for outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the natural beauty of Washington. Overall, Colockum Wildlife Area serves as a vital habitat for wildlife while providing ample opportunities for recreation and appreciation of nature. If you have not visited the Colockum or Quilomene Wildlife areas, it's a great place to learn some very basic skills fo overland travel. Quilomene Wildlife Area is a picturesque natural reserve located in central Washington State, near the Columbia River and the town of Vantage. Spanning approximately 22,000 acres, this wildlife area is managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and is recognized for its diverse habitats and rich wildlife.
