Northwest Overland (NWOL) assumes ABSOLUTELY NO responsibility, including but not limited to injury or loss of any kind/form due to the use of information, or participating in trips/events/activities found on the Northwest Overland group/site, social media platforms, offered at Rallies, or any other venue/platform. By voluntarily participating in - or becoming a member of Northwest Overland (NWOL) trips/events/activities, you agree to the terms and conditions of the group. It is the responsibility of any participant to review and understand these conditions, and Northwest Overland assumes NO RESPONSIBILITY to ensure participants have researched said conditions. Conditions include individuals that opt to carpool/tag along with participants. Carpool/tag alongs are at the full discretion of the driver and the rider and Northwest Overland (NWOL) nor any of its volunteers, organizers, or staff assume any responsibility.
It is the responsibility of individuals participating in a carpool/tag along to notify their insurance provider of their intent to carry non-family passengers and to ensure that they have adequate coverage to protect both themselves and their passengers. It is the responsibility of the individual accepting a ride in a carpool/tag along to ensure that the driver of the vehicle has an acceptable driving record, is licensed accordingly and has adequate insurance to protect both driver and passengers. Northwest Overland (NWOL) and its organizers are no way responsible for verifying or certifying the reliability, driving ability or insurance status of drivers and participants.
Substance Use and/or Abuse
Drug and alcohol use are prohibited while driving and all Federal and State Laws apply. Abuse of a substance of any kind that results in a negative experience for other participants/members, will no longer be welcome on Northwest Overland trips/activities/events.
We do support ensuring you and the ones you are with remain safe while entering the wild. It is realistic you may find yourself needing protection from predators. Northwest Overland (NWOL) requires you follow any and all Federal and State Laws relating to the carrying and use of firearms. We also require you to use discretion and to respect those you're travelling with if using firearms legally in a recreational fashion. Blatant disregard for other participants will result in no longer being able to attend/participate in Northwest Overland trips/events/activities.
Photos During Activities:
While participating in group activities, your photo may be taken by the event organizer or other participant and be posted on the northwestoverland.com website or social media platforms - or used in Northwest Overland (NWOL) or Supporting Partner marketing materials as Northwest Overland sees fit. We cannot control other people taking photos and uploading it on to the site but we can remove photos. It is your responsibility to inform others if you do not wish to be photographed and inform us if any of your photos to be removed from the site.
Acknowledgment of Participant & Member Responsibility, Express Assumption of Risk, and Release of Liability
By joining a Northwest Overland (NWOL) Event, Meet-Up, Wrenching Session, or Adventure of Any Kind:
I understand during my participation in any trip/event/activity organized by Northwest Overland (NWOL), I may be exposed to risks which include, but are not limited to, the dangers of serious personal injury, property damage, and death (“Injuries and Damages”). By attending/participating in any event or activity, I agree to WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY Northwest Overland (NWOL), its organizers, event hosts, and leaders from any and all liability on account of, or in any way resulting from injuries and damages, in any way connected with the activity. I further agree to HOLD HARMLESS Northwest Overland (NWOL) and leaders from any claims, damages, injuries, or losses caused by my own negligence or the negligence of others, while a participant on the trip/event/activity. I understand and intend that this assumption of risk and release is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and includes any minors accompanying me on the activity. If I bring guests to participate in the event I take full responsibility of the guests and agree to all above terms and conditions.
I have read this document in its entirety and by participating in the trip/event/activity, I freely and voluntarily assume all risks of such injuries and damages and notwithstanding such risks, I agree to participate in the trip/event/ activity.
