We will be flying down to Corpus Christi, Texas to join a few fellow NWOL members and locals to conduct a basic sand traction and recovery class on South Padre Island.

About the event

We will be conducting a remote class on basic vehicle sand traction and recovery devices on South Padre Island, Texas. THis class will cover:

  • Basic safety measures before extracting a vehicle
  • Getting unstuck by using a shovel
  • Usung traction boards
  • Rigging a sand anchor
  • Using a hi-lift jack for vehicle extracation
  • basic winch operation
  • Yanker straps vs Tow straps
  • Post extraction vehicle inspection

You are welcome to drive down to Texas for this class, or you can also fly down and rent a vehicle to take the class in.

You will be responsible for travel to, safety while taking the class and travel back to you place of origin.
