*** Red or Orange Dune Flags Required *** We will be driving out to Beverly Dunes off I-90 on the Eastern shore of the Columbia River to join a few fellow NWOL members to conduct a basic sand traction and recovery class at Beverly Dunes.

About the event
We will be conducting a remote class on basic vehicle sand traction and recovery devices at Beverly Dunes near Mattawa, WA. This class will cover:
- Basic safety measures before extracting a vehicle
- Getting unstuck by using a shovel
- Using traction boards
- Rigging a sand anchor
- Using a hi-lift jack for vehicle extracation
- basic winch operation
- Yanker straps vs Tow straps
- Post extraction vehicle inspection
We will then transit to an area in Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area to have a classroom with discussions about the basics in overlanding. This will be all inclusive.
