About the event
GET YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE NWOL STYLE!
We will be heading up NF-74 near Greenwater to at least Haller Pass (the small turn out just before the fire station). If conditions allow, we'll proceed all the way to the viewpoint. Tree permits are available at the ranger station in Enumclaw (or a variety of other locations as well).
There will be SNOW! Please plan and dress accordingly.
Vehicle Requirements:
- A vehicle in good working condition
- Good all-terrain tires
- Solid front and rear recovery points (this one is critical)
- A method of airing your tires down and up
Having a set of chains would not be remiss.
In years past, it has been quite icy and slick on the way down.
