About the event
In 2021 while agate (the rock type) hunting and camping along the NF-70 Rd near the Greenwater snowpark I noticed that people had been dumping a ton of trash and debris in and around the free dispersed campsites in this area. I believe it would be great to get a large group together to not only have fun and explore the area, but also pickup and clean up the trash at some of the campsites along the Greenwater river.
With a group effort I believe we can make a huge positive impact on the area.
What’s the plan?
Friday: Meet at Greenwater General store at 6:00pm Friday, drive and find one of the many large dispersed campsites for our group, set up camp, 9:00pm camp fire and camp stories. Saturday: 10:30am agate hunt, 12:30pm Lunch, 1:30pm to 9:00pm is for adventure, visiting, exploring, and whatever you set your mind to. 9:00pm camp fire talk/plan for Sunday. Sunday: 10:30am today is the day to pick up and spend a few hours picking up trash around the campsite and surrounding camp sites.
The plan on how we will disperse will be discussed Saturday night.
What to Bring?
1. Trash bags
2. Rake/shovel
3. Gloves
More info will be discussed closer to the date.
Ride alongs welcome.
