NWOL backcountry chili cook-off is on! Since it takes place in the backcountry, there are some specific guidelines and considerations to keep in mind. Here's a set of guidelines tailored for a backcountry chili cook-off:
**1. Ingredients:
All ingredients must be suitable for backcountry cooking and adhere to Leave No Trace principles.
No pre-cooked or partially prepared ingredients/chili is allowed. All cooking must be done on-site.
**2. Cooking Equipment:
Participants must use portable backcountry cooking equipment, such as camp stoves or lightweight backpacking stoves. Open fires will not be practical in all backcountry locations.
