There’s adventure, and then there’s the Grand Staircase–Escalante—where the pavement ends and the red-rock wilderness begins. This overland trip will deep into one of Utah’s most untamed regions, a labyrinth of sandstone canyons, slickrock mesas, and wide-open skies that seem to stretch forever.

About the event
The route kicks off in Escalante, Utah - Escalante Outfitters.
Once you hit the dirt, the world feels ancient and private. Every turn reveals something new—a hidden slot canyon begging to be explored, or a natural arch framing views of distant plateaus.
Camp under the constellations where silence hums louder than any city noise. Days are for crossing dry washes, splashing through muddy creek crossings (if we catch it after a rain). Nights bring campfires, good company, and stories about which unmarked track to follow next. There may be a little bit of choose your own adventure here.
We are definitely NOT going down hole in the rock road to the Mormon wagon lowering site. That road is absolute trash. Whether you travel in a decked-out 4x4, pull an off-road trailer, or a trusty rig with a roof tent, overlanding in Grand Staircase–Escalante is less about getting somewhere fast a…
