A few of us here in central wa are going to hit the WABDR on SEPT 7-9. From Stevenson to Eburg with 2 nights camped on the trail.
We're not "serious" overlanders, but we do have plenty of offroad experience.
We'd like to keep the group small, between 3 and 5 vehicles. We have 2 already.
So, if anyone else wants to come with, let me know and I'll keep you in the loop. Also, there may be a few more tagalongs that may want to ride with someone. So post if you'd have a seat available.
Hi Darin,
Could you please submit this as an event?

Sure. I'll get to it a bit later.
I have it submitted, Dan. Thanks.
This is in about a week, still have room.
NOTE; CONTACT NUMBER IS 509 480 2952
Darrin, the number you put in is aparently wrong number. We would be very inerested in joining but have commitments on sun morn. Is a fri sat trip possable for us? I take it sat eve will be somewhere around Nile/ Natchees area. Please contact me back at 360-395-8759. By the way, meet n greet sat sep 15th in Eburg!
Text okay?
Darin, thnx for the texts last night,,,,,,,,BUT my bad. We both completely forgot that the service tech is going to be here that fri to set up our new pellet stove so we have heat this winter. GRRRR, really wanted to go. Oh well, another time. Hope to see you on the 15th at the Red Horse Diner for meet n greet! Maybe we could meet up with yalls in the Nile area on sat and do the rest of the day with you. Keep us posted as to where you may be at different times along the route PLEASE!
Why do you not use CB radios at all? We would like to get a basic HAM radio but it's just not in the budget at this time. I did get my winch installed today, so no worries there. See yalls saturday around Packwood. We plan to be there by 9ish so we make sure to not cause you any delay.
I replied to your question but it somehow didn't show up...Hmm.. We can chat about it later if you like.
We're departing Yakima at around 07:00 tomorrow morning.
If anyone is interested, you can track us on the APRS system at APRS(dot)FI. Search for my callsign and SSID, K7GTC-7 or Derek's callsign and SSID, KE7ZMC-9 on the website and you'll see where we are at. We'll be sending out periodic position reports as long as they are able to be received into the system through the digipeaters and I-Gates. Once we get into the mountains, position reports will become sporadic.
Still plan to be on ,,146.46? I'll try to get radio set on that frequency so I can listen and will have CB on chnl 22.
Honestly, I'm not certain. There's several repeaters that are in the area, we may stay on them because we may separate a good distance if dust is bad.
@Darin See you all sat mornin. Drive careful and enjoy the ride and views.
Darin texted you but have the wrong number. We have to bail. I stupidly didn’t realize it was first week if school. Sorry about that.
No worries! My number was a typo originally, it's 5094802952, not 2953.
Wow! What a fun trip! We had a great time, saw some beautiful country and met some other Overlanders on the trail and we all traveled together most of the weekend.
We're all already planning to hit the trails again soon. Vehicles did great, my packing and planning payed off and we managed to follow the trail with minimal issues.
We even decided NOT to take the easier bypass trail on the first leg. It was a bit rougher and time-consuming, but it was fun.
Another two nights and 3 days spent on the trail. Can't wait to do it again.
