Hey guys, I'm Matt, located in Seatac, and new to overlanding, and really offroading in general. I have some experience with quads, dirtbikes etc, as well as NF roads, some sand etc. Just got a Tacoma and I'm excited to slowly build it out and gain more experience.

Btw there is a NWOL event of TBD - Defender's Northwest / NWOL Basic 101 Off-Road Driver's Training, that had to be postponed because of the pandemic. Not sure when it's going to be rescheduled. I finally replaced my OEM wheels/tires with all-terrain, and a matching spare, and have a basic safety/recovery kit put together. So I'm ready to do more than dispersed camping off fire roads.
Great choice! love me some Tacos. We are just started our own Tacoma build. If you ever want to BS about some gear or locations to check out etc. feel free to shoot me a message.
I’m also a taco owner that is new here, and to overlanding. I’m definitely looking to take off road safety classes.
Welcome! I too am new to overloading. Camping, backpacking, and rock crawling are in my past, but overloading is what my wife and I agree on for our next chapter. I'm outfitting a JLU Sport. If I hadn't scored a deal on that, a Toyota truck was next on my list as a platform. Maybe we'll see you out on the trail?
