FINITE AREAS OF INTEREST

Got a Facebook memory update about a trip I took to Gallagher Lake 5 years ago. It was a great trip and the it hit me....that was the last time I was up there. So now that the wheels are turning..I'm thinking of just taking my trailer up to the Salmon La Sac campground and using it as a base camp to explore the weekend. My main question is, I see that the campground is by reservation but the dates end Sept. 29 then says unavailable from then on. I take it, it then becomes first come first serve or is the campground closed?
