Stubs, the little JK

Bought the little base-model 2-door Jeep brand new in 2012 and have slowly improved it for overlanding, fishing, and hunting trips. Being short and maneuverable, its a joy to use on tight trails, and a big change for me after 20+ years of driving full size 4x4's.

Last year I added the little Jackwagon Basecamp trailer for some additional gear-hauling capacity, and it's worked out real well.

The Jeep has a 2.5" Terfaflex suspension with Fox Shocks, Yukon air lockers and 4.10 gears, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 10k winch up front.

It's taken me on some terrific trips over the past six years. Some local in Central Washington, others far afield, including Alaska, the Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nevada, Oregon and California. Yet to come, the great Southwest!

Just replaced the 1" springs in the rear of the Jeep with 2.5" Teraflex springs. MUCH better on pavement and off. The Fox shocks were quite capable of handling the change. This Jeep has never handled so well.
