DNR is closing land east of Cascades on Friday due to fire danger.

Just saw this on another forum;

All DNR-managed lands east of the Cascades will be temporarily closed to the public starting Friday beginning 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 23.

More Access Opened in Ahtanum State Forest!As Memorial Day weekend approaches, the DNR has restored full access to green dot roads in Ahtanum...here's their latest update: Early Progress in Repair, Restoration Work Expands Recreation Opportunities The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has expanded access to areas of the Ahtanum State Forest after temporary closures for repair and restoration work. Several access points to the forest had been closed recently to allow for staff to begin repair work to facilities damaged by vandalism during the closure of state lands due to COVID-19. “Our recreation team has made substantial progress in addressing issues with damage to infrastructure and resource protection. Oregon Dept of Forestry Temporary Closures

Oregon Dept of Forestry closures of all backwoods camping in Oregon State Forests.  Not due to Covid-19 issues but campers literally trashing the place.

Sad part is that the people who trash the place don't care that they are closed, they will still go out and trash the place. Same people that will spend $40 in gas to haul a couch and dump it 30 miles up into the woods instead of $20 at the dump
