Chelan Butte, May 12, 2018
This ought to be a pretty good trip. I'll be making a route recon before the trip, and will update. Remember your hiking boots!
Rich, you should be able to do some great things with your HAM radio up there on the Butte, not so much from our proposed campsite which is down in a hollow. "Holler" for any southerners. ;)
Hiking boots, canteens or water bottles, some snacks, a day-pack. And a camera! In this area I've seen black bear, coyotes, mule deer and bighorn sheep. Haul the telephoto lens along for wildlife. At this point there are no fire restrictions, but it's a pretty dry area. I may bring my propane campfire, or maybe wood. We will see what it looks like re fire conditions as the trip gets closer.
Right now we're full up. Based on experience, that may change.

Compared to my last NWOL trip to Douglas Creek... This SHOULD be a low-key, mellow trip mostly in 2wd.
