OVERLAND DESTINATIONS

Derek Smith: Hi,  Has anyone been to the Moses Lake Sand Dunes?  Looks like half the area is closed during the winter.  http://www.grantcountywa.gov/SHERIFF/SpecOps/ORV/      I am wondering if it is worth the trip.  I’m based in Federal Way.

I am not looking to do donuts in the sand all day.   I would like to get more comfortable with my rig and try out different driving techniques.  Sand seems like a worthy challenge.  Short of going to the beach, southern Oregon, or Christmas Tree Valley I thought I would ask.  I have been to Tahuya twice and was looking for another near place nearby.
