Weyerhaeuser access permit
I finally purchased a permit for Weyerhaeuser land. There are several places to go that are locked and the permit gives me a key and access. It is only good for me and my family but I will report on how the areas are. The permit starts in Aug and is good for one year. I look forward to exploring some areas I have not been. My first stop is the gate on the middle fork of the nooksack river. Looks like a good area to explore but it is gated.
Will update.

This is the first year in last 4 that I haven't purchased a vehicle pass for Snoqualmie Tree Farm (Hancock outside of North Bend). Outside of modern firearm deer hunting season it was always quiet with 100+ miles of roads to explore. You can get up high and find boatable mountain lakes, or access otherwise hard-to-reach alpine lakes. There's also tons of lower land lakes with good fishing and bucketfuls of mushrooms. $250 is a hard pill to swallow and the main reason why I'm forgoing the pass this year to give myself more time to explore other cheaper areas, but the easy access is _very_ tempting for those living on Seattle eastside.
