Darrington to Skagit Valley via FS 17

Too much fun exploring! Some great spots for camping (boondocking). Rewards you with some great viewpoints of Darrington to Arlington, and the Skagit Valley on the other side. Barely a pothole, and easy to travel 20-30 mph! Just a fun drive.

38 miles in about 3 hours, and that was goofing around a lot. Didn't get to explore the side roads, but saw some great places to stop!

Trees? LOL Why do you think we like it over on this side GUY? Hated not being able to see more than a short distance there. That road he was on is beautiful. We have traveled it many many times. One of our go to drives when we lived there. Several side roads to try too. We did an all day drive there and took every single side spur to it's end. Thats how we found the camp spot on very top of the mountain I mentioned below. Be a fun trip on your bike for sure. Maybe do this run from north end and continue on over mtn loop and barlow pass. Be a super day trip on bike or Jeep. decent roads too. Nice dispursed camping on mtn loop and barlow too.
